About
qequals is an API for Google autocomplete suggestions and live Google search results. It is built for agents. The public catalog is the same suggestion data, clustered into themes, so a person can see the proof before anyone calls anything.
The name is the query string. q= is in every search URL. Google, Bing, YouTube — the query is always q=. We make that q callable.
Why it looks like this
Agents do not read a docs site. They read a file. So the API is llms.txt: mint, two calls, JSON, errors, quota headers. A human will not trust an API they cannot see, so the catalog is that same suggestion data in public. The calls, the file, the proof. That is the company.
The API
Two calls: suggestions, and search. An agent reads llms.txt, mints a key, and starts. Anonymous keys get 10 suggestion calls a day, autocomplete only. Sign in with Google on /account and that same key becomes registered: 30 suggestions a day and 10 live results a month. Pro is $9 a month for 300 of each. Unused quota dies at the period end.
Quota is on every key from the first call, including cache hits. If Google does not return a usable response, the call fails. We do not invent a list.
The catalog
The catalog is a human-chosen list of keywords we track. Not a search box, and not the whole internet — a shelf we pick, term by term, because the page has to be worth reading. Each public page is one of those keywords: what people actually type around it, grouped so the demand has a shape instead of arriving as a pile of strings.
That is the research object. If you are writing, ranking, or building around a topic, the useful question is not what you think people search. It is what they actually ask Google. For every term on the shelf, the catalog answers that: a takeaway, themes with counts, and questions written from those numbers. Open a theme when you want the lines themselves. The raw list is there too.
We recrawl weekly and keep every snapshot, so a page is a record, not a screenshot that vanishes. The data is the same suggestion data the API returns. The catalog is that data made readable — proof you can sit with before anyone makes a call.
The shelf starts in niches we know and grows as real collections, not as a firehose. Search APIs is where it begins. More topics arrive the same way: chosen, crawled, written, published.
