Is there an official Google SERP API?
No. There is no official API for the live Google results page. Custom Search (Programmable Search) searches a site or engine you configure — not arbitrary Google SERPs. Gemini search grounding is Google’s first-party tool for agents answering questions, not a ranked results page you can read as positions, titles, and URLs. That gap is why SERP APIs exist. qequals is one: one endpoint, live results, metered.
How do I get Google search results programmatically?
Point your agent at llms.txt. It contains the exact parameters, examples, and error codes, and the key-minting endpoint needs no account. Registration is what unlocks SERP calls: a free key carries 10 a month.
How much does a SERP API cost?
Evaluation is free: register and get 10 SERP calls a month. Pro is $9 / month: 300 SERP calls a month, plus 300 autocomplete calls a day. Subscribe from your account.
Why not scrape Google myself?
Because scraping Google is an arms race: rotating proxies, CAPTCHAs, markup that changes under you. We run that race so your agent doesn't. You make one call and get clean positions, titles, URLs, and snippets back.
